Returnees From China: 51 People Returned From China Repatriated To Their Respective Places

Chinshwehaw’s COVID-19 Containment Working Committee handed over 51 Myanmar Nationals returning from China through the border gate of Chin Shwe Haw in Laukkai Township, Kokang Self-administered Zone in Shan State (North) to their respective places.

16 returnees were repatriated to their respective places on 17th August and other 35 returnees on the 18th via Lashio.

The returnees include 23 males and 28 females and out of them, 1 from Yangon, 3 from Mandalay Region, 1 from Bago Region, 3 from Magwe Region, 8 from Kachin State, 31 from Shan State. Among them, 15 males and 16 females who arrested in China under various circumstances have completed their prison terms included and they will be put temporarily under facility quarantine at the city hall in Chin Shwe Haw and will be tested COVID-19.

From 30th April to 19th August, a total of 14,590 returnees from China including 8,109 men and 6,481 women have been repatriated to the respective regions and states.
