U.S. President Donald Trump wore a mask on Monday during a tour of a North Carolina biotech facility. Trump toured the Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies Innovation Center, which is working on key elements of a potential coronavirus vaccine. Meanwhile, Trump spoke positively about Operation Warp Speed and finding a vaccine for the coronavirus. Trump's comments came amid news that Moderna Inc's vaccine against COVID-19 could be ready for widespread use by the end of this year, according to U.S. and company officials. The drug-maker announced the start of a 30,000-subject trial to demonstrate it is safe and effective. Under the Trump administration's program to speed development of measures against the novel coronavirus, the drug-maker hoped that an effective vaccine will help end the pandemic.
