Repatriation Process: Myanmar Nationals In Abroad Repatriated By Relief Flight

With the guidelines of the National-Level Central Committee for Prevention, Control and Treatment of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID – 19), Myanmar Embassy in London is making arrangement for relief flights to repatriate Myanmar nationals who stranded in Britain, Sweden, Denmark and Ireland due to international travel restrictions amid COVID-19 pandemic. On Sunday afternoon, the charter flight of Qatar Airways brought a total of 313 passengers to Myanmar from Heathrow Airport in London as the third relief flight.
At the Heathrow Airport, Myanmar embassy in Britain helped necessary assistance to them. The relief flight took seamen, students, scholars and staffs of international companies from the Britain and Europe countries, the United States of America, the Middle East and African countries including 2 monks and Myanmar nationals who visit there plus diplomats, skilled staffs and foreigners who need to go to Myanmar with responsibilities and social affairs.
For repatriation process, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and related Ministries coordinated necessary assistance. Moreover, 11 Myanmar embassies in Europe, the Middle East and African Countries also cooperated in repatriation process.
