Religious Edifices: Ancient Edifices Of Late Konbaung Era Founded In Yesagyo

284 ancient edifices of late Konbaung Era (1752-1885) were discovered in Yesagyo Township of Pakokku district for renovation according to the research of the Department of Archaeology and National Museum (Magway).

33 Buddhist temples in Kyat Su Kyin  village, 117 in Auk Nant village, 74 in Ma Au Alae  village and 60 in Ma Au Auk Village were recorded.

The edifices are the art works of late Kon Baung era.  As the first step of renovation with the rule of Department of Archeology and Nation Museum , the estimated cost and seek permission would be submitted to Region Government to conduct inventory.

As soon as they get the permission from Government, the renovation works will be started systematically according to the Department of Archaeology and National Museum.
