Public Notification: Announcement On Items Prohibited To Carry Along On Martyrs' Day

The visitors to Martyrs’ Mausoleum on July 19 are requested to cooperate with the officials for security check.

According to the announcement, the visitors are requested not to carry along the items that can harm the security measures into the Martyrs' Mausoleum.

The prohibited items includes mobile phones, various kinds of flags, bags, wallets, cameras, matches, flowers, vinyl sheets, bottles and cans.

Moreover, it is highly prohibited to take drones to the Mausoleum and fly around it in the area of the Mausoleum.

The 73rd Anniversary Martyrs' Day ceremony will be taken place on 19th July in line with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health and Sports to prevent from COVID-19 disease.

Public access to the Bogyoke Aung San Museum building on Natmauk Street in Yangon, meeting room where the martyrs were assassinated at the Secretariat and the parliamentary meeting hall will not be allowed this year.

The events which will be organized this year include laying of wreaths at the Martyr’s Mausoleum in Yangon, national flag raising and saluting in the compound of the Secretariat (former Office of the Ministers) and offering meals to members of the Sangha at Zabuthiri Hall of Nay Pyi Taw Council Office and the Yangon City Hall, dedicated to the fallen martyrs.
