Preventive Measures: Legal Actions Taken Against Those Who Don’t Wear Masks

Wearing mask is part of measures to prevent and control COVID-19 disease. In Tamwe Township of Yangon Region, legal actions were taken against those who went outside without wearing masks.

The move is under the Prevention and Control of Communicable Diseases Law. In Tamwe, from the 19th to the 22nd of May, legal actions were taken against 41 persons, Information and Public Relations Department reported. Township COVID-19 Control and Emergency Response Committee announced to wear face masks when going outside on May 11.
