COVID-19 Monitoring: MoHs: No Confirmed Cases Found In Myanmar As Of 22nd March

The Ministry of Health and Sports issued a news release on monitoring of COVID-19 at 8:00 pm of 22nd March.

It stated that the Ministry of Health and Sports has been conducting monitoring activities on the COVID-19 acute respiratory disease, which had spread throughout China and some countries around the world, at international entry-exit checkpoints, hospital-based, community-based and in cooperation with private hospitals.

There have been five new patients who are being quarantined for COVID-19 disease between 12 pm of 21st March and 12 pm of 22nd March. As of 6 pm of 22nd March, 16 patients under the surveillance are receiving medical treatment at the respective hospitals.

There are no COVID-19 patients in Myanmar as of 22nd March but monitoring activities are being conducted with full momentum. COVID-19 is spreading across China and 185 countries across the world including the neighboring countries.

The public are urged to adhere to the disease protection health information published by the Ministry of Health and Sports.
