Eternal Peace Pagoda: Golden Umbrella Hoisting Ceremony To Be Held On Tazaungmone Full-Moon Day

The Golden umbrella hoisting ceremony of Eternal Peace Pagoda in Nay Pyi Taw will be held in conjunction with the consecration ceremony on the full-moon day of Tazaungmone which falls on 11th November.

The holy religious objects will be fixed atop the pagoda on that day. To mark the consecration ceremony, Buddhist monks would perform continuous recitation of Patthana Pali texts from 7th to 9th November.

On Tuesday evening, the diamond bud, pennant-shaped vane and golden umbrella that will be installed at the Eternal Peace Pagoda, were displayed at Thiri Mingalar Kaba Aye Pagoda in Yangon.

Sayadaws and sanghas led by member of State State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Shwe Pyi Tha Sayadaw consecrated the diamond bud, vane and golden umbrella on Wednesday early morning and these religious objects would be conveyed to Nay Pyi Taw.
