


Crowds were packed with Nay Pyi Taw Zoological Garden and Safari Park until the last day of Thadingyut public holidays, Monday.
This year, the visitors were crowded there than the previous year because of long holidays. An official from Nay Pyi Taw Zoological Garden and Safari Park said they have prepared transportation in the Garden and park for the convenience of the public in advance.
Nay Pyi Taw Zoological Garden & Safari Park, Warden, Myo Min Htet said “We have prepared transportation for public to be more attractive in the zoo and park on Thadingyut holidays. On the full moon day, there were more than 10,000 visitors to the Zoo and over 3000 visitors to Safari Park.”
Variety of local and foreign animal species is put on display in the zoo for the public and there are about 38 animal species and nearly 600 animals in the zoo, according to the warden of Nay Pyi Taw Zoological Garden. The visitors and holiday-makers also love to pay a visit to Safari park as they can see the natural habitats of animals.
Visitor (Nay Pyi Taw, Lewe), Kyaw Kyaw Soe said “I have known that animals are set free naturally to roam in the Safari Park and people watch them by touring around the park in the cage. I have been here before. During the holidays, our friends come to Nay Pyi Taw and they are so interested to pay a visit to Safari Park. So, I took them here to get a new experience.”
Visitor (Yangon), Aye Myat Thiri said “I’m so excited to see the animals they are roaming naturally in the park. After that, we will go to the Water Foundation Garden and remarkable places in Nay Pyi Taw.”
According to the official, the full moon day of Thadingyut was recorded the highest numbers of visitors to the Nay Pyi Taw Zoological Garden and Safari Park during the holiday period.
