Maungtaw Trip: Media Team Arrives In Hla Phoe Khaung Transit Camp

A media team comprising of local and foreign journalists arrived at Sittway via Yangon by Myanmar National Airlines on Thursday morning.

Through Angu Maw, they went to Maungtaw by motorcade.  In the afternoon, the media team met with Deputy District Administrator U Ye Htoo at the office of Maungtaw District General Administration Department. At the meeting, the Deputy District Administrator answered the queries raised by the media team.

Later, the media team proceeded to Hla Phoe Khaung Transit Camp where in-charge of the Transit Camp and Director of General Administration Department U Soe Shwe Aung responded the queries.

The media team was comprised of media men from Courrier Japon, Nishinipon Shimbun, Nippon TV, VOA, BBC, MRTV, MITV, MIR and MNA. It had been 34 times including this one that the journalist teams went to Maungtaw area to cover the news.
