Zelensky arrives in Cyprus for talks as EU Council presidency begins

President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Cyprus for a series of high-level meetings on Wednesday as Cyprus began its presidency of the Council of the European Union. The trip follows high-stakes talks in France on Tuesday, where Zelensky met with European leaders, US envoys, to finalize security issues for Russia-Ukraine ongoing conflict as part of a potential peace deal.

In Cyprus, Zelensky was set to meet Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides and Archbishop Georgios before holding joint talks with European Council President António Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
