Yuntianhua scholarship: Signing and Awarding Ceremony

The signing ceremony of agreement on Yuntianhua scholarship award between Yezin Agricultural University and Yuntianhua Co., Ltd of Yunnan Province was held in conjunction with offering of scholarship at the convocation hall of the University.

The agreement was signed for offering scholarship for 2023-2026 academic years. Yuntianhua scholarship provides a lot of benefits to learning of the students from Yezin Agricultural University and making research works. 

KyawSwe Lin, Director General, Department of Planning, MoALI, said " The participation of private sector in the education sector is important for human resource development. It needs not only granting scholarship but also conducting research works. I’d like to urge universities in Myanmar including Agricultural University to develop research based universities from all sectors."

Yuntianhua Co., Ltd is not only undertaking in agricultural chemical industry but also providing scholarships and education stipends for the students in Yezin Agricultural University.

Nan SengHom, Rector, Yezin Agricultural University, said " The scholarship awards have been offered since 2017 and 2018. The scholarships are offered to conduct more research works excellently for Ph.D, Master and Post-graduate students and to effectively apply."

This scholarship program will give encouragements for the students but also strengthen more cooperation between agriculture, education and private sector as well as to develop innovation. 

Than Htike Thu, Student, Ph.D Course, said " The cost is huge as it is doctorate course. As we receive scholarship, it will support a lot to us. By receiving scholarship, we can pay more attention on our research works."

Phyu Phyu Naing, Student, Undergraduate Course, said " I am very pleased to receive the scholarship. We need to always try hard. If we do, we will gain success one day.If you try, you will get the opportunity you deserve."

The Myanmar currencies that are equivalent to 29,000 USD are offered annually as the scholarship. For the 1st batch of new agreement, the scholarship awards have been offered to 30 post-graduate students and 52 undergraduates as well as stipends for 5 undergraduates, altogether 132 post-and under-graduates for 2023-2024 academic year.
