YRTC Mask Campaign: mask and T-shirt campaign from 19th Sept. to 5th Oct.

In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 pandemic, Yangon Region Public Transport Committee (YRTC) conducted the mask and yellow T-shirt campaign near crowded bus stops starting from Monday. 

YRTC distributed the masks in free of charge to the public near crowded buses stops including Sule, Hleden, 8miles, KabaAye, Thingyankyun, Sanpya market, North Okkala bus stops. 

Lyan Cin Mang, Joint Secretary, YRTC said "We distributing 18,000 masks per day and will be distributed about 200,000 masks for 5 days. Also we will distribute the yellow T-shirts to over 4,000 YBS drivers. We are working in accordance with the plans to prevent the spreading of COVID-19. The instructions of the Ministry of health are also broadcasted on the YBS buses. We also instructed to YBS companies not to allow the passengers who do not wear the masks getting in the buses. There are about 3,300 buses from 116 lines running and about 1.3 million of passengers using the services of YBS every day. "

The mask and T-shirt campaign will continue from 19th September to 5th October near crowded bus stops in Yangon, it’s reported.
