Youth Roundtable Discussion: Aim to develop the students’ physical & mental strength

Information and Public Relation Department (IPRD) under the Ministry of Information and the Department of Basic Education under the Ministry of Education co organized a Youth Round Table Discussion was held at the hall of Basic Education High School (Thuwana) in Thingangune Township of Yangon on Wednesday.

The discussion was held aiming to develop five aspects of life of the students such as physical, mental, social, emotional and financial aspects and as the new generation students who will shoulder their duties for the country, the discussion also aims to improve their knowledge skills.

Principal ,Aye Myint San,B.E.H.S (Thuwana) said " By holding this kind of discussions, the students read more books, they are also improve in cooperative skills, and they can share their knowledge each other through this discussions. During the discussion, I’m very satisfied with the question and answer session of the students."

During the round table discussion period, the students made discussion under the titles of “Youth and Literature” and “Youth and Culture”.

Student ,Win Htet Paing Htoo said " I’m very pleased to participate in this discussion. Youth and literature connect each other and our forefathers urged to read more books. Under the title of “Youth and Literature”, I applied the knowledge what I learn and shared knowledge to others. And I will read more books than previously in order to share knowledge to the people around me."

Student ,Aye Chan Paing said " Today’s Youth Round Table Discussion, I made discussion under the title of “Youth and Culture” aiming to appreciate and preserve Myanmar traditional culture and in order to know the cultural heritages of our country Myanmar by the youths."

Through round table discussions, youths can share and gain knowledge, can improve their communication and cooperative skills and can get experiences. Likewise, they can build-up friendships each other.
