"Youth Light" library: Mon State CM attended opening ceremony of library

The opening ceremony of the "Youth Light" Library, constructed with donations from the Myanmar Libraries Development Coordination Committee and the contributions from the local residents, was held at the new library building in Paung Daw Mu Village, Thaton Township, Mon State. Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein, members of the state government, departmental officials, donors, and invited guests attended the event.

The ceremony began with Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein, members of the state government, and the Chairman of the Thaton District Administration Body cutting the ribbon to officially open the "Youth Light" Library. A group photo was taken, and the Chief Minister presented cash award to a traditional drum troupe.

Following this, the Chief Minister and officials sprinkled scented water on the library's commemorative plaque and toured the library, observing visitors reading educational and literary books.

During the second part of the ceremony, the Chief Minister delivered a speech. Local donors contributed a total of 3.1 million kyats, and the Mon State Libraries Foundation donated books. The Chief Minister and officials accepted the donations and presented certificates of honor in return.

Next, the Director of the Mon State Information and Public Relations Department handed over documents related to the library building to a library representative. A local community leader then expressed words of gratitude.

After that, the Chief Minister visited a successful Friesian dairy farm with 30 cows located on Shan Su Middle Road in Nan Khe Ward, Thaton Township. He also met with summer paddy farmers in Ywar Tan Shay Village, Paung Township, to discuss their needs and address their requests.
