The Mandalay Region Government on Friday hosted a meeting with youth representatives from Mandalay Region who will attend the 2024 International Youth Day and Youth Forum. It was attended by Chairman of the Mandalay Region Youth Affairs Committee Chief Minister U Myo Aung and other concerned officials.
In his congratulatory speech, the Chief Minister highlighted the Ministry’s initiatives aimed at implementing youth policies and advancing comprehensive youth development programs. He underscored the crucial role of youth participation as a driving force in multi-sectoral and national development efforts.
The Chief Minister exhorted all to disseminate the knowledge gained from these programs to inspire and empower the younger generation. Following this, 12 student youth representatives and 2 administrators were individually introduced.
The Region Social Affairs Minister and group leader U Aung Kyaw Moe then provided a detailed overview of the preparations made for the ceremony. Subsequently, the Chief Minister heard the suggestions from rectors and addressed the needs. Then the Regional Government awarded over 60 million kyats in cash assistance.
