Young people across Nepal are undergoing physical tests, including running and push-ups, to qualify for around 150,000 temporary police positions ahead of the upcoming general elections. The recruitment drive reflects strong youth participation as the country prepares to vote on March 5, the first national election since widespread anti-corruption protests reshaped the political landscape last year.

Candidates are being assessed for fitness and readiness to help maintain order during the polling period. For many, the roles offer both short-term employment and a chance to contribute to national stability.
