








A ceremony of commemorating 104th Anniversary National Victory Day and conferring Titles was held at Tatmadaw Community Hall near southern entrance of Shwedagon Pagoda on 25th November.
The ceremony was attended by members of Sangha led by the Chairman Sayadaw of State Sangha Mahanayaka Committee, Ovadacariya of Young Men’s Buddhist Association (YMBA-Central), Thanlyin Min Kyaung Sayadaw Baddanta Candimabhivamsa , Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Commander of Yangon Command MaJ-Gen Zaw Hein, Region Ministers, Chairman of YMBA U Ye Tun, Vice Chairmen and members, officials concerned and invited guests.
At the ceremony, the attendees took the Ovadakatha on National Victory Day delivered by the State Sangha Mahanayaka Sayadaw. Next, the Yangon Region Chief Minister Thiri-Pyanchi Sithu U Soe Thein read out the National Victory Day message sent by the Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing.
Then, Union Minister Zayya Kyaw Htin Sithu U Maung Maung Ohn, Region Chief Minister Thiri-Pyanchi Sithu U Soe Thein and Commander of Yangon Command Zayya Kyaw Htin Maj-Gen Zaw Hein offered the offertories to the Sangha led by Thanlyin Min Kyaung Sayadaw.Following this, YMBA Chairman U Ye Tun conferred the Abhidhaja Aggahmaha Mangaladhamma Jotika Title to the Chairman Sayadaw of State Sangha Mahanayaka Committee Thanlyin Min Kyaung Sayadaw Baddanta Candimabhivamsa and the Chief Minister, YMBA Vice Chairmen and officials offered the relevant titles to the title recipient Sayadaws.
Then, Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn, Region Chief Minister and Commander conferred the titles to a title recipient Sayadaw and lay persons, Yangon Region Government and well-wishers donated cash and the Chairman of YMBA U Ye Tun accepted them.
After that, YMBA Chairman talked about the history of the National Victory Day and conferred the titles to the recipient lay persons.The Young Men’s Buddhist Association was founded in 1906 and the National Victory Day has been annually celebrated on 10th Waning Moon of Dazaungmone Month and it’s reached 104th Anniversary this year 2024.
