Insulated tents and portable cabins have been built to relocate the quake-affected residents after a 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck Dingri County in Southwest China, on Tuesday morning.

At a relocation site in Senga village of Dingri County, the installation of over 100 insulated tents has been completed. Heating equipment has also been installed inside the tents, ensuring the residents to stay warm through the winter.

In Gurong village, the area most severely affected by the earthquake, soldiers from the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Xizang Military District have been working alongside construction workers throughout the night on Thursday to build portable cabins.

Their efforts aim to ensure that affected residents can move into warm, safe homes as soon as possible.
