Xi, Modi conduct in-depth exchange of views, agree China, India should be partners

Chinese President Xi Jinping and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met on Saturday, on the sidelines of the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi. Xi stated that China views its ties with India from a long-term perspective, emphasizing that both nations offer development opportunities to each other.

Modi highlighted that peace and tranquility in border areas remain an essential basis for growing ties, and both leaders noted that bilateral trade has reached record highs alongside resumed institutional exchanges.
