Xi meets Iranian counterpart Raisi in Beijing

Chinese President Xi Jinping held a bilateral meeting with his Iranian counterpart, EbrahimRaisiin Beijing on Tuesday. Xi said China would play a constructive role in the resumption of negotiations over the Iranian nuclear deal.

Xi hailed the traditional friendship between China and Iran and said the two countries’ strengthening cooperation and mutual trust promoted international justice. Officials from both sides signed cooperation agreements in various sectors, including agriculture, trade, tourism and disaster relief.Raisi also met with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang on the same day.
