Xi Jinping welcomed by traditional dance on his arrival in Serbia

On the arrival at Belgrade airport Tuesday, Chinese President Xi Jinping was welcomed by traditional songs and dances, in the presence of his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic and their wives.

This is Xi’s official visit to Serbia where China has invested heavily to expand its economic footprint. During the visit, Xi said he look forward to taking this visit as an opportunity to have in-depth exchange of views with Serbia President on mutual interest, renew friendship, plan for cooperation, explore development, and draw up a new blueprint for the development of bilateral relations.

After France, Serbia is the second stop on Xi's tour of Europe, which he is due to complete with a visit to Hungary.
