Xi and Putin expected to meet at Uzbekistan summit

President Xi Jinpingis due to meet Russia President Vladimir Putin in Uzbekistan this week at a summit of the eight-member Shanghai Cooperation Organization, which also includes Uzbekistan, India and Pakistan.The Kremlin has hailed the significance of Putin's planned meeting with Xi. Chinese leader declared the two governments had a "no limits" friendship when the Russian leader attended the Winter Olympics in Beijing. China sent 2,000 troops and three warships to take part in a military drill this month in the Russian Far East, Vostok 2022.
