






A ceremony commemorating World First Aid Day was held in Bago on Saturday. Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win attended the event and delivered a speech, emphasizing the critical role of first aid in saving lives during accidents, natural disasters, and conflicts that occur worldwide on a daily basis.
In Myanmar, Red Cross members are actively providing first aid treatment to injured individuals. He urged all Red Cross volunteers to fulfill their duties in accordance with the seven basic principles of the Red Cross and to share their valuable experiences with others.
Following the Chief Minister's speech, both he and the Social Welfare Minister presented honorary awards and certificates to Red Cross members who had excelled in the Central Level competition. Subsequently, Red Cross members from Pyay and Thayawady Districts conducted a simulation drill.
Bago Region Red Cross was recognized for conducting the most extensive Red Cross training in the entire country, while Thayawady Township received the first prize in a poem reciting contest.
