World environmental Day: SAC Chairman delivered a commemorating speech

The celebration of 2023 World environmental Day was held at the Myanmar International Convention Center-II, Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on the 5th of June with the attendance of the Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Council Joint-Secretary, Council members, Union Ministers and officials.

First, the Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing delivered a commemorating speech on 2023 World environmental Day.

Next, the video messages of UN Secretary-General Mr. António Guterres and Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) were screened. The theme of this year's World environmental Day is the “Solutions to plastic pollution”.

In awarding ceremony commemorating World environmental Day, the SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing awarded the best environmental management Township prize, the best Village prize and the best factory prize.

Next, the Council Joint-Secretary and Council members also awarded the prizes to the winners. Then, the environmental awareness campaign video clip was shown and the attendees posed for the documentary photo.

Afterward, the exhibition booths displayed by the Ministries in commemorating 2023 World Environmental Day were observed by the attendees.
