World Breastfeeding Week: MDY CM attended the event

The Mandalay Region level events marked the 2024 World Breastfeeding Week and Nutrition Development Week was held at the City Hall of MCDC in Chan Aye Thazan Township in the morning on 21st August and attended Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung and wife, Region Ministers and wives and officials.

First, the Region Chief Minister gave an opening remark at the events of World Breastfeeding Week and Nutrition Development Week.Next, the Chief Minister and party watched the video clip on activities of 2024 World Breastfeeding Week and Nutrition Development Week, awarded the prizes to the winners in the basic education High school and middle school level essay contest and posed for documentary photo.

Then, the Chief Minister and wife and officials fed the Vitamin-A supplements to the childen under five years, gave nutritious tablets to the expectant mothers, presented memorable gifts to them and viewed round the display booths marked the Breastfeeding Week and Nutrition Development Week. This year theme for the events is Closing the gap: Breastfeeding support for all, it’s reported.
