World Bank high level meeting kicks off in Kathmandu

The 3rd Replenishment Meeting of the World Bank’s fund for low-income countries, the International Development Association (IDA) kicked off in Nepal’s Federal Capital Kathmandu on Tuesday. The four-day IDA meeting brings together 200 representatives from 61 countries including high level officials of the World Bank.

They will discuss the proposed IDA policy focus areas such as people, planet, prosperity, infrastructure, and digitalization. Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister of Nepal urged the developed countries to help address challenges faced by the countries which missed industrial revolutions.
