Workshop on Peace Process: NSPNC Chair and leaders of NCA signatories attended

The workshop in commemoration of 8th Anniversary of Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement-NCA was held at MICC-2, Nay Pyi Taw in the afternoon on 15th October.

The workshop was attended by the member of State Administration Council Union Minister for Home Affairs Chairman of National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, members of NSPNWC and Negotiation Committee, leaders of 7 NCA signatories, Senior Tatmadaw Officers who contributed for the emergence of NCA, civilian representatives from Ceasefire Joint-Monitoring Committee, representatives from registered political parties, the intelligentsias and technicians who are participating in the peacemaking process and the university students as observers.

The attendees to the workshop discussed under the topic of “Consistent peacemaking processes from NCA” and they cordially and frankly exchanged views on the suggestions to keep going to carry out, challenges, advantages and disadvantages regarding with the processes.

After conducting summarized discussion gathered from the aspects gained from the discussions by the secretary of NSPNC Lt-Gen Min Naing, the workshop was concluded. According the discussions of the attendees to the workshop, they want the EAOs who haven’t got to the table of peace talk to attend and they demanded for solving the political problems with the political approach.
