Workshop on Education Development :MoE Union Minister gave an opening speech

A workshop on (Annual Performance Review - APR) and (Annual Budget Review - ABR) of the Ministry of Education was held at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on 12th October and the Union Minister Dr. Nyunt Pe gave an opening speech.

The Deputy Ministers for Education, permanent secretary, directors General, Deputy permanent secretary, Deputy Directors General and officials attended the workshop. In his opening speech, the Union Minister said the government is providing requirements from all aspects to be able to carry out the implementation of education development projects successfully.

In such a providing, it’s significantly needed to assess whether the finance and assistant materials are utilized or not and the achievement of the mission in the implementation of those projects. By doing so, the success and challenges can be identified as per the directorates and the approaches can be formulated for more successes and overcoming the challenges.

In the implementation of National Education Strategic plans by the Ministry of Education, it’s needed to carry out the annual performance review and annual financial review facilitated quality improvement of the whole Ministry. This workshop is the beneficial one in which the annual performance review for fiscal year from October, 2021 to Marth, 2022 for 6 months, 2022-2023 fiscal year and 2024-2025 fiscal year will be discussed the reviewing process.

The drawing plans, setting budget, making assessment and reporting included in the annual planning and budget cycle-APBC of National Education Strategic Plan (2021-2030) will be enabled to implement successfully with the collaboration and coordination etc.

Next, the deputy minister Dr. Zaw Myint clarified the objectives of the workshop and the attendees made group discussions as per the departments. The workshop will be continued on 13th October.
