Working Visit To Vietnam: State Counsellor To Attend World Economic Forum On ASEAN

State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi on Tuesday left Nay Pyi Taw for Vietnam. The State Counsellor will attend the 27th World Economic Forum on ASEAN themed ‘ASEAN 4.0: Entrepreneurship and the Fourth Industrial Revolution’ which kicked off today in Hanoi.

The State Counsellor is accompanied by the Union Ministers U Thaung Tun and U Kyaw Tin, Deputy Minister for Planning and Finance U Sett Aung and many other officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Myanmar delegation led by the state counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi arrived at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam at 11:40 local standard time.  

The state counsellor and party were greeted by Acting Minister of Information and Communications H.E. Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, director-general of the ministry of foreign affairs of Vietnam Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung, Myanmar ambassador to Vietnam U Kyaw Soe Win and wife and the responsible officials at the airport together with the guard of honor.

Later, the state counsellor and party proceeded to Dawwoo Hotel in Hanoi for the temporary stay.
