Working Committee meeting: Standards Working Committee held a meeting

Under the guidance of National Standards Council, a meeting of Standards Working Committe 1/2024 was held at the meeting hall of Ministry of Science and Technology in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday and Council Cairman Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw  gave an opening remark.

During the meeting, Director General from Department of Research and Innovation discussed the final draft standards after public enquiry stage to be submitted for  National Standards Council’s Approval, and soft copy sales process. Also the council members shared the implementation status of proposal standards as per the relevant sub-committees,  final draft standards, summary of draft standards after public enquiry stage, and the publishing of mandary Myanmar set standards.

Then the meeting attendees including Deputy Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Aung ZayYa, Permanent Secretary, other council members from relevant Ministries, officials from UMFCCI, representatives from Federation of Myanmar Engineering Council, Myanmar Computer Federation, Myanmar Industries Association and Myanmar Food Processors and Exporters Association had also discussed the necessary suggestions.

About 70 draft standards that were discussed and approved by the Working Meeting of Standards Council will be submitted to the National Standards Council meeting, it’s reported.
