Working committee meeting: Nat’l Level Working Committee held 4th meeting

The National-Level Working Committee on Administration and Management of Natural Resources in Coastal Areas held its fourth meeting at the Forest Department in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday and the working committee Chairman Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi, Vice Chairman Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung, working committee members and officials and the Ministers for Natural Resources from Regions and States attended the meeting through Virtual system.
In his remark, the Union Minister U Khin Maung Yi said that it’s needed to systematic management Administration and management for the sustainability of marine biodiversity, ecosystems and marine natural resources, acceleration of planting mangrove forests, dissemination of knowledge to the public regarding with the protection of mangrove forest and Green Belf and designation of important Hot Spots to protect the underwater natural beauties and aquatic animals.
Next, the Union Minister U Min Naung said to implement the policy on the development of Blue Economy, forming a combination body on coastal marine natural resources conservation, research and technologies etc.
Later, the secretary of the Work Committee reported on the Committee’s responsibilities undertakings and action plans and the attendees discussed the implementation of related sectors and the plans to be implemented and the decisions were made, it’s learnt.
