The Czech Republic's largest vaccination centre on Saturday held a special day for children to get vaccinated against COVID-19, with fancy dress rolled out to encourage those who were uncertain. Reservations were made for 1,600 children at Prague's Congress Hall, with parents also able to bring in their children without an appointment.

Volunteers dressed up in cartoon costumes and interacted with the kids, before, during and after their shots. Children aged five years and older have been able to get vaccinated since mid-December in the Czech Republic.  So far, almost 6.7 million Czechs have been fully vaccinated with two shots.
