Work Undertakings: Rakhine State Chief Minister tours in KyaukPhyu

2024 Population and Housing Census enumeration is underway at respective Regions and States.

On October 3rd, census enumeration teams conducted the process in KyaukPhyu Township of Rakhine State. Chief Minister U Htein Lin, together with officials, oversaw the process, and cordially greeting the local residents.

They then visited Gone Chyein Village Monastery where health care services have been provided to local community by a mobile medical team. They then proceeded to the project site of 135 megawatt natural gas and waste energy engine power plant, and heard reports on the work progress, expected power generation, employment opportunity and implementation of corporate social responsibility measures. They also viewed the census enumeration process at the project site.

In the afternoon, the Chief Minister and party met with the athletes who will represent Rakhine State in the upcoming 5th National Sports Festival. He urged the athletes to bring prestige of the state, achieving winning medals.

The Chief Minister then held a meeting with Kyauk Phyu District and Township Illegal Trade Eradication Committees. The meeting discussed the efforts for swift flow of commodities, security measures and cooperative efforts for illegal trade eradication.
