











Kachin State Government held a ceremony for Maha Samaya Day at Shwe Moe Taung Pagoda in Mai Nar Village of Waimaw Township on Friday.
Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan and wife and officials took Five Precepts from member of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Vice Patron of Khaymar Thiwun Monastary Sayadaw.
The State Social Affairs Minister later submitted the religious matters and listened to the sermon delivered by the members of the Sangha. it was followed by offering of meal, rice and offertories to the Sayadaws and members of the Sangha.
Later in the day, the Chief Minister held a discussion for work implementation of collecting Biographic and Biometric data. The Chief Minister said implementation of e-ID system could help provide to carry out the security, peace and stability effectively.
Moreover, it could support for smooth implementation of economy, education, health, and human rights issues. He called for cooperation of all concerned persons in data collecting process. The official later explained the plans for collecting Biographic and Biometric data in the state.
