Work Undertakings: Inspection of development works in Myitkyina

Plans are underway to grow sunflower plantation and to create relaxing environment for the visitors at the Ayeyawaddy Shukhinthar Resort in Sitapu Ward in Myitkyina Township.

On 1st February, Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan accompanied by concerned officials, visited the area to oversee the collective cleaning and ploughing activities, and gave necessary instructions. Then, the Chief Minister attended the ceremony to provide rice for the trainees of Nursing and Widwifery and Education Degree College (Myitkyina) at Nursing and Widwifery Training School.

The Chief Minister encouraged the trainees and assured to provide further necessary assistance. Then, 200 rice bags were provided to the trainees. On the same day, the Chief Minister and officials enjoyed the full rehearsal performance of Kachin Traditional Dance Troupe at the lawn of the State Government Office.

The dance troupe will participate in the 78th anniversary Union Day celebration to be held in Nay Pyi Taw. The Chief Minister expressed words of appreciation and encouraged the performers to make exerted efforts in performing at the celebration, representing the state.

He also provided 1 million kyat cash rewards. On 31st January, the Chief Minister attended the ceremony to provide rice and basic foodstuff to the departmental staff at the Myitkyina Township assembly office. During the ceremony, rice bags, edible oil and eggs donated by the Republic of Korea under the ASEAN Plus Three Emergency Rice Reserve (APTERR) program-3  were provided for the departmental staff. 

Subsequently, the Chief Minister met with the farmers and growers at Yein Khaw Field in Naung Nann Village tract, coordinated requirements on timely installation of solar powered well pump, acceleration of winter oil crop plantations and provided necessary supplements. The Chief Minister also inspected the field to ensure sufficient wate supply for monsoon paddy and multicropping.
