







In Myitkyina on the 28th of December, the Christmas and Thanksgiving Festival was joyously celebrated. Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan graced the occasion, which was organized by the Ethnic Literature and Culture Associations under the supervision of the Kachin State Ministry of Ethnic Affairs.
The festivities commenced with blessings from Bishops and Reverends, and the State Ethnic Affairs Minister extended warm greetings. Subsequently, there were recitations of Bible verses, renditions of Dhamma songs, heartfelt wishes, and enlightening preachings.
The ceremony continued with the exchange of Christmas gifts, and attendees enjoyed a luncheon. Following the festival, Chief Minister U KhetHte in Nan participated in the 20th Convocation Ceremony of Myitkyina University.
In his address, he encouraged the graduates to apply the knowledge gained from the university for the welfare of the community. Then, the graduation certificates were presented to the graduate students. The convocation ceremony is scheduled to continue until the 7th of January 2024, the graduation certificates will be presented to over 3,000 students, conferring master's and bachelor's degrees in art, science, and law.
These students completed their respective subjects through regular courses for the academic years 2019-2020 and 2021-2022, distance education courses for 2019 and 2020 academic years, as well as those who attended Moe Nyin Degree College.
