Work Undertakings: Academy Awards and National Symphony Orchestra

A work coordination meeting for successful holding of the 2024 Myanmar Motion Picture Academy Awards Presentation Ceremony took place at the Information and Public Relations Department in Yangon on 27th December.

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn attended the meeting and made a speech. He called for the concerted efforts of the relevant officials for the successful organization of the ceremony in grand manner which is set to be held on 9th February 2025. Emphasizing on systematic nomination and presentation of awards, the Union Minister stressed the evaluation committee to fulfill their responsibilities upholding accountability and transparency in line with the existing rules and regulations.

The Union Minister also stressed the innovative preparations and arrangements to create the splendid atmosphere and smooth presentations. He also emphasized on uninterrupted live broadcast during the ceremony.

Next, the Director General of the Information and Public Relations Department clarified the current work implementations and the attendees made sector-wise discussions and presented suggestions on successful holding of the ceremony.

On arrival at Myanma Radio and Television Yangon Headquarter, the Union Minister inspected the music programs of the National Symphony Orchestra which will perform at a dinner reception commemorating the 77th Independence Day.

There, the Union Minister heard reports on the selected songs to perform at the 77th Independence Day Celebration, enjoyed the song performances and presented cash awards to the Orchestra and artists.
