Work Implementations: MEC Meeting and Sports Training

The 9th Regular Meeting (3/2024) of 3rd Myanmar Engineering Council was held at the Council in Yangon Region on 30th November.

It was attended by patrons, chairman, vice chairmen of the council and chairmen of the working committees. Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than joined the meeting through virtual system. Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister in his capacity as patron of the council elaborated the significant achievements of the council and respective working committees and stressed the necessities to be fulfilled.

Next, Chairman, Vice-Chairman (1) and (2) and Secretary of the Council clarified the current work implementations and tasks to be carried out, tasks implementation on decision made in previous meeting as well as the completion of work implementation of the working committees. The meeting was concluded with the closing remarks of the council chairman.

In the afternoon, Union Minister Dr Charlie Than visited Paung Laung Sport Stadium and City Golf Resort in Pyinmanna Township to oversee training process of the Sepak Takraw players and golfers who will participate in the 5th National Sports Festival representing the Ministry.

The Union Minister also instructed the athletes to uphold sportsmanship during the competition and provided cash assistance. A total of 26 athletes from the Ministry will participate in the 5th National Sports Festival.
