Work Coordination Meeting: Silver Jubilee Myanmar Traditional Performing Arts Competition

The 1st work coordination meeting on organizing Silver Jubilee Myanmar Traditional Performing Art Competition was held at the hall of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture on Thursday. 

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman of the organizing Committee, Union Minister U Tin Oo Lwin said this year is the 25th edition of the competition and it will be held at various venues including Myanmar International Convention Center-2, National Museum, National Library, Yin Kyae Hmu Yadana Hall at the Ministry and Training Theater at the Department of Fine Arts.

He added that efforts are being made to add collective performance of traditional instruments of ethnic people during the opening ceremony as a special performance of 25th Anniversary Silver Jubilee Myanmar Traditional Performing Arts Competition.

Similarly, traditional instruments of ethnic people for group competitions were arranged and participants have to show their talent by composing songs using their respective languages and traditional instruments within 5 – 8 minute pieces.

The Union Minister also stressed that all gesture of individual must be in line with the national characteristics during the competition. Then, the Union Minister heard the reports on implementations of organizing the competition successfully by the attendee.
