Work Coordination Meeting: Prevention measures for natural disaster

A work coordination meeting for natural disaster prevention 3/2024 was held at the regional government office in Dawei on Tuesday morning.

At the meeting, Chief Minister of Tanintharyi Region U Myat Ko said there was a lot of unexpected loss due to the storm that occurred in South China Sea in September.

The disasters such as floods and landslides occurred in Nay Pyi Taw and other five regions and states. Chief Minister urged attendees to take preventive measures and rehabilitations tasks cooperate with relevant departments before and after disasteras a coastal region with a lot of rain, floods and landslides.

Then, departmental officials reported their activities on relief and rehabilitation, information, health care services, search and rescue operation, security and other measurements as their departments. Committee members also discussed preventive measures, cooperation, rehabilitation activities and Chief Minister fulfilled their requirements.
