Work Coordination Meeting: Prevention and control of Mpox disease

Under the supervision of Kachin State government, a work coordination meeting on prevention and control of Mpox disease took place at the State government office on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister U Khet Htain Nan said that under the guidance of the State Administration Council and Ministry of Health, knowledge sharing sessions for prevention and control of Mpox disease have been carried out across the state.

The Chief Minister called for collaborative efforts of all concerned officials in implementing disease detection and monitoring, control and treatment effiectively and conveniently. During the meeting, discussions were made upon situations of Mpox disease in the countries around the globe, prevention, control and treatment measures of the disease in the state, preparation processes on disease monitoring and controlling at the hospitals and holding educative talks on Mpox.

After the meeting, Kachin State Women Affairs Committee and Maternal and Child Welfare Association organized the Educative Talk on Mpox prevention.
