






An administrative work coordination meeting on ensuring Myanmar's successful participation in the 33rd Southeast Asian Games was held at the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs' meeting room, Office No. 31, Nay Pyi Taw on July 14.
First, Chairman of the Myanmar Olympic Committee and Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, Jeng Phang Naw Taung, delivered the opening speech. He stated that the upcoming 33rd Southeast Asian Games will be held in Bangkok, Chonburi, and Songkhla in Thailand, featuring 53 sports. Myanmar is currently undergoing intensive training and preparations to compete in 40 of these sports.
He also mentioned that Myanmar has already submitted its list of participating sports and events to host Thailand. To ensure the timely submission of athlete rosters (by number), he instructed officials to set deadlines by the end of July for systematically selecting athletes and to notify the sports federations in advance to facilitate timely submissions to the Ministry.
Following this, Deputy Minister U Htein Lin discussed necessary matters. Then, directors-general and directors responsible for various divisions, who attended the meeting, presented their respective sector-specific discussions. The Union Minister then instructed that all necessary preparations should continue to be made systematically, promptly, and in a concerted and accelerated manner to ensure smooth operations based on the presentations.
