Work Coordination Meeting: MoIP UM gave an opening remark

Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing attended the work coordination meeting for successfully implementing ongoing prioritized works for the country within a scheduled time held at the Ministry in the morning on 31st July.

Speaking at the meeting, the Union Minister said that this meeting is held to notify for successfully implementing ongoing prioritized works for the country within a scheduled time and coordinate and fulfill requirements in the implementation of the tasks.

The 2024 enumeration of population and housing census will be carried out from 1st to 15th of coming October. The work process is important for the country and the collective effort is needed to successfully implement in accordance with the plan.

The prior consideration is needed for the expansion of enumeration period under current security situation and for the regions with difficult accessibility of road transportation. It’s required to submit the steps of plans to be implemented in advance etc.

Next, the head officers of Regions and States clarified the status of completing Pan-Khin Project and e-ID system, implementations for the correct voters list and enumeration of nationwide census, the conditions to be carried out by the Department on the work of summoning people’s military service and other requirements.

Deputy Ministers U Htay Hlaing and Dr. Myo Thant supplemented necessary matters on the clarifications of the permanent secretary and Directors General of the departments. The Union Minister coordinated and fulfilled requirements regarding with the clarifications and gave necessary instruction and speech of conclusion.
