Work Coordination Meeting: MoIFER organizes its meeting 2/2023

The Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations organized its work coordination meeting 2/2023 for 2023-2024 fiscal year in Nay Pyi Taw physically and virtually on Wednesday.

The meeting aims to implement market oriented economic system in line with the Economic Objective including in the Road Map adopted by the state and to promote investment tasks and to implement future work programs of the Ministry in line with the state’s policy, rules and regulations.

At the meeting, Union Minister Dr. Kan Zaw stressed on estimating the local investment tasks by collecting investment survey, participation of local investors in the MyCo system for the facilitation of investment process, supervising the annual return, scrutinizing in cash/in kind values including in the investment tasks, encouraging and promoting domestic industries; MSMEs that are driving force of the state’s economic development and economic cooperation with ASEAN and regional countries, the United Nations and Non-Government Organizations in line with the policy and guidelines adopted by the state, constant learning of IT technology by the staffs in the Ministry, conducting pre training for the staffs to be able to exchange views with other nations in the international trainings and serving the state responsibilities without corruption by following the Civil Service Law, rule and regulations.

Later, Deputy Minister Dr Wah Wah Maung reported on implementations of the Ministry’s objectives and aims and strong and weak points that are faced in undertaking the tasks.

The Directors General reported measures for promoting investments in respective regions and states, cooperation with ASEAN, regional, UN and international organizations and future plans on which the Union Minister coordinated the needs.
