Work coordination meeting: MoEA UM held a work coordination meeting

The 5th regular work coordination meeting between the Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs and the Regions and States Ministers for Ethnic Affairs was held at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on 13th February.

At the meeting, the Union Minister Jeng Phang Naw Taung said that this is the meeting (1/2024) which is 5th regular work coordination meeting and to discuss work plans of the regions and states regarding with the ethnic affairs for 2024-2025 fiscal year. And the Union Minister mentioned the opening of Ethnic Affairs and Vocational Training Center in Ayethaya Town of Taunggyi Township and appointments of over 10, 000 Teaching Assistants– TA and Language Teachers -LT for the ethnic literature and ethnic languages etc.

Next, the Union Minister handed over ethnic cultural books and documents to the Kachin State and Sagaing Region Ministers for ethnic affairs on behalf of the Ministers for ethnic affairs of the regions and states.

Then, the regions and states ministers for ethnic affairs discussed the work plans to be implemented during 2024-2025 fiscal year. After discussing General matters, Union Minister coordinated necessary matters.

After calling for the implementations of the five point-roadmap and 9 objectives set by the State Administration Council, the meeting was concluded.
