







A work coordination meeting for organizing 77th Kachin State Day which will fall on January 10, with the grand opening ceremony, opening and closing Manaw dance and local products exhibition booths, was held at the State Government office in Myitkyina on January 2.
Firstly, the State Chief Minister U KhetHtein Nan, stated that the 77th Kachin State Day celebration will be held in accordance with the essence and tradition of previous years, in a special and vibrant manner, reflecting the significance of the state day.
He urged that any necessary preparations or challenges should be addressed in advance.Next, the state government secretary, U Tin MaungSwe, presented the details and arrangements related to the 77th Kachin State Day commemoration events and discussed the programs and activities that need to be finalized.
Following this, officials from the relevant departments and representatives of cultural organizations within the state reviewed and clarified their planned activities, which will be executed according to the dates. The state government members provided additional input, clarifying and elaborating on the plans.Regarding the prepared plans, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of coordination between the committees, ensuring that the preparations are integrated and aligned.
He also highlighted the need to present financial requirements and emphasized the importance of ensuring the successful, smooth, and secure conduct of the events.After that, a coordination meeting was held with state ministers, departmental heads, MSME entrepreneurs, and representatives of the Union-level MSME product exhibitions and competitions.
During the meeting, it was discussed how Kachin State could showcase local products at the national events.At the meeting, the Chief Minister confirmed that, similar to previous years, the MSME product exhibition will be held for five days in Naypyidaw on February 12th of this year.
He also mentioned that separate awards would be given for MSME businesses and One Region One Product (OROP) industries. He encouraged MSME entrepreneurs to actively participate and prepare for the competition, and to ensure they are ready to receive awards.
Further discussions were held with the Minister for Ethnic Affairs U Kyaw Min Khaing, the state department for industrial supervision, and MSME entrepreneurs regarding the preparation and exhibition of products. They reviewed necessary plans, identified challenges, and discussed solutions based on previous experiences. The Chief Minister worked with the team to ensure that any required actions were coordinated and addressed appropriately.
