Work coordination meeting: Meeting held for organizing Kyaiktiyo Pagoda Festival

A work coordination meeting to organize the Kyaiktiyo Pagoda Festival of 2023-2024 was held at the Aung San meeting hall of the Mon State Government office on 9th October. At the meeting, the Mon State Chef Minister said the aims of the work coordination meeting.

He also urged attendees to discuss measures to elect the members of the Board of Trustees and form a committee as per the rules and regulations under the guidance of Saeti Taung AwWada Sayiya Sayardaws, to check the safety of mountain climb vehicles, the cleanliness of the undergrowth along the climbing road, arrange for pilgrims to peacefully visit, dispose of sewage and garbage systematically, and set the smoking-free zone.

Next, Regional Commander of South East Command Brigadier General Soe Min made a speech to carry out the security measures for the pilgrims. After that, the Minister for Social Affairs explained the preparation matters, the Chairman of the Supervision Committee for the Kyaiktiyo Pagoda reported matters on payments and donations, and the State Minister fulfilled the requirements.
