






The Chairman of Region Population and Housing Census Supervising Committee Sagaing Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw attended a work coordination meeting for 2024 Population and Housing Census enumeration was held at the Region Government office in Monywa in the morning on 3rd September.
The meeting was also attended by Region Government members, Senior military officials from the North-West Command, Region level departmental officials, Region/ District/ Township Population and Housing Census Supervising Committee members and Chairmen of Township Administration Bodies in Monywa District in person and the Chairmen of Administration Bodies of Naga Self-Administered Zone, Kalay, Khanti, Sagaing, Shwebo districts via Video Conferencing System.
The Chairman of Region Population and Housing Census Supervising Committee and the Chief Minister stated that the census is not only intended to gather information about the population in terms of current situation of the country, regional demographic, age groups, urban or rural settings, but also to differentiate and understand the population based on educational qualifications, types of occupations, and living arrangements. He emphasized that, as members of the regional, district, and township census committees, it is their responsibility to take on this national-level task with commitment and to work together to ensure its success for their respective regions.
Next, the secretary of region supervising Committee clarified preparations for 2024 Population and Housing Census enumeration, implementations, matters on ground enumeration and compiling voters list with Power point.
The Region level departmental officials discussed to cooperate regarding with the census enumeration.
Chairmen of Administration Bodies of Naga Self-Administered Zone, Kalay, Khanti, Sagaing, Shwebo districts clarified the status of work implementation and preparations followed by the supplemented discussions given by the Region Government members.
Then, the Region supervising Committee Chief Minister coordinated requirements with the responsible officials and gave a speech of conclusion.
