Work Coordination Meeting: Discussion on the census enumeration

The Nay Pyi Taw Census Supervisory Committee held a work coordination meeting on 2024 Population and Housing Census Enumeration at the Nay Pyi Taw Council office on Friday with the attendance of Chairman U Than Tun Oo, along with council members and relevant officials.

In his remarks, the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman highlighted the importance of the nationwide census, scheduled to be conducted from October 1st to 15th, 2024. He underscored that the accuracy of the data collected is crucial for the effective implementation of sector-specific development initiatives and the integrity of the voter list.

The Chairman urged full participation from all committee members, departments, and the public, urging them to treat the census as a vital national endeavor. Following the Chairman’s speech, the Committee Secretary reported on the preparations and conditions for the census enumeration.

Subsequently, the meeting attendees presented updates on the census operations within their respective sectors. The Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman then coordinated the necessary issues raised in the reports and delivered the closing remarks.
